PECAT® Valve Flange Adaptors

The typical design features both a 25mm (1”) pressure point and a 50mm (2”) purge point. The pressure point features a PN16 or ASA flange to match the main flange. This allows for accurate monitoring of mains pressure – especially useful in a situation where a section of main has to be shut off for repairs. The flanged purge point facility permits the connection of a bypass to divert the gas flow around a section of main or across a valve, which may be necessary when carrying out repairs.

Each fitting is supplied painted and fitted with a boss to which can be connected a cathodic protection terminal.

Main body and PECAT sleeve: Mild steel tube to ST52.0 DIN 1629

End ring and flanges: Mild steel plate to BS.4360/43a

Pressure point: Mild steel plate to BS.4360/43a

Corrosion protection: Main body, end ring and pressure point are coated in black ‘hammer finish’ paint. PECAT sleeve and flange are zinc plated and passivated to BS.1706.
