BM Series
Body & Nut: Malleable or SG Iron.
Thrust Washer: Steel or Engineering Plastic.
Insert Stiffener: Steel.
Gasket: NBR Rubber.
End load Washer: Spring Steel.
Corrosion protection: Light oil film – must be site protected.
The Flexgrip joints can be made using conventional hand tools. The fitting is installed on to the plain Steel pipe first, note this joint does not require disassembly. The PE joint should be disassembled to fit and the parts placed on to the PE pipe in correct order, the Insert Stiffener can then be inserted in to the PE and then re-assembled in to the Body. Once tightened and after pressure testing, the fitting must have an approved site corrosion protection system applied after installation.
Meets GIS/PL3:2014 requirements, BSI Kite Mark accredited KM595392.
Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP) = 5.5 Bar.
Available in PE sizes from 20mm to 63mm with Steel sizes Nominal Diameter from ¾” (DN20) to 2” (DN50) to suit pipe made to specification BS EN 10255 (formerly BS 1387).
